EDNA Reading Program Goals

As elementary school educators, our most important goal is to teach children to read. 

Next, and equally as important, is to teach them to read early before they begin to falter and 'slip through the cracks'. 

The goals of the EDNA reading programs are...

The goal of every EDNA reading program is Putting reading within reach.

In the EDNA reading program if the protocol is followed 98% of all 3rd grade students will be reading on or about their grade level by the end of 3rd grade.

In the EDNA II reading program all 4th through 8th grade students will make three years progress in one year's time.

Each student's knowledge base will be broadened through reading.

Students will choose to read a wide range of materials.

Every student will experience the feeling of accomplishment through receiving challenging instruction.

Each student will receive instruction under the careful, watchful guidance of a knowledgeable teacher.
